who am I?
Hi, I’m Mike Wilson. Baseball has been my lifelong passion - one that captured my heart from the moment I could walk. Through dedicated training, unwavering commitment, and a drive to achieve greatness, I was fortunate enough to turn my childhood dream into a reality: playing professional baseball. Today, my mission is to share the wealth of knowledge, insights, and skills I’ve gained with aspiring athletes, guiding them to reach heights even greater than my own.
Achievements and Career Highlights:
High School - 4 year varsity letterman, I earned the title of 2016 GMC Player of the Year before being selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 15th round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
College Career: Opting to hone my skills and academic foundation, I accepted a full athletic scholarship offer to play for Stony Brook University, where I excelled as a Division I athlete from 2016 to 2019. Highlights include a career-high .331 batting average, 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .611 in my final season. That year, I played a pivotal role in securing a Championship clinching victory over Binghamton and also led the team with four consecutive four RBI games.
Professional Baseball:
In 2019 - Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers organization as an outfielder. Highlights include stints with the Rocky Mountain Vibes, hitting the first homer run in their new ballpark, in their first home game; Carolina Mudcats, Single A, and a Triple A weekend call-up with the San Antonio Missions.
2022 - Acquired as a Free Agent by the Los Angeles Angels. I continued to demonstrate resilience and adaptability, overcoming a spring training injury to perform with both rookie-level affiliates and High A Tri City.
2023 - Capped off my career with the Long Island Ducks and the Staten Island FerryHawks, gaining mentorship from former MLB legends like Daniel Murphy and Wally Backman (an especially meaningful experience since I’m a lifelong Mets fan)
My Mission:
The journey from the sandlots of Colonia New Jersey to professional baseball taught me more than just the mechanics of the game - it instilled lessons of resilience, discipline, and the power of chasing your dreams. Through triumphs, challenges and invaluable connections, I’ve built a foundation of expertise I now passionately share. It’s my privilege to mentor the next generation of ball players, empowering them to unlock their potential and pursue their own field of dreams.
